Various types of sartings, coatings, furnishing materials of Tasar, Matka, Mulbari and Undi produced in Bhagalpur are quite popular. More than 60 crore silk and mixed silk fabrics are exported from Bhagalpur. Tasar and mixed Tasar sarees of various types are quite popular.

In the state three types of silk exist i.e., Mulberry, Tasar and Eri has been Mulberry, Tasar and Eri has been commercialized. Silk is becoming popular both in domesticĀ and export markets due to their eco-friendly nature.
