It went on intensely. Electricity loom is working in Bhagalpur, Banka as well as in Nalanda, West Champaran and Patna. This scheme is uniformly applicable throughout the state with effect from 01.10.2006. Under which, from 01.02.2014, electricity subsidy on electricity consumption on textile production on powerloom has been fixed at Rs. 1.50 (one rupee fifty paise) per unit to Rs. 3.00 per unit and Rs. 3.00 per unit in the electricity bill itself. The rate is discounted.Instead of reimbursement of grant amount to the powerloom weavers, the grant amount is made available directly to Bihar State Power (Holding) Company Ltd., Patna.
